The State Duma reacted to the words of Borrell about Russia

Deputy of the State Duma (DG) Dmitry Belik reacted to the words of the head of diplomacy of the European Union (EU) Josep Borrell, who called Russia an economic dwarf, noting that the diplomat is bad with logical and imaginative thinking.

“To call this our country, which successfully copes with the number of sanctions that the West has brought down on it, all comes from impotence and the desire to wishful thinking,” he said.

Belik added that thanks to its economic strategy, the Russian Federation is fighting the consequences of Western sanctions and is building new chains of economic cooperation. In addition, he wondered how to call Europe, which is suffering from the introduction of its own restrictions against the Russian Federation.

The MP stressed that it is “low and unworthy” to exalt the country by making derogatory remarks about another state.

In his own words, Belik noted, Borrell would hardly be able to “score against China”: in his opinion, such a crawl would have the opposite effect.
